How can i avoid emailing the wrong contact in email?

You are typing an email to Dave Smith and in your hurry, you use the gmail contacts auto suggest to add Dave Jones to your list. Here is a quick tip to avoid getting yourself embarrassed by sending your email to the wrong person.

“Got the wrong Bob?” is a Google Labs add-on which checks your contacts and based on the contact you mail most often, it provides you suggestions of potential conflicts. For example, if you regularly send messages to Dave Smith, Mary and Frank , a new email to Dave Jones, Mary and Frank will alert you that it might be a mistake by suggesting that probably you meant sending th mail to Dave Jones

To switch this addon on:

  1. Log on to GMail and click Settings at the top-right.
  2. Click the Labs tab.
  3. Scroll down to the add-on and click Enable.
  4. Hit Save Changes.
